Through a storied career spanning the latter part of the 90’s and into the new millennium, INVAZION has earned its reputation as a world-class Soca group. The band has appeared on innumerable Soca compilations worldwide, put out several singles and won international and local superlatives for their unforgettable live shows and recordings.
INVAZION plays a percussion, danceable, and irreverent style of soca, reggae, R&B and roots music.
A predominantly male band, these talented grassroots guys have showcased to the world the real artistic brilliance of Trinidad. The band has toured the Caribbean, North America and Europe extensively with a variety of local, national, and international groups. INVAZION has shared stages and tours with notable acts like Beenie Man, Maya, Sean Paul, Fat Joe and Machel Montano as well as touring with and serving as backup band for almost every vocal legend in the industry.
Playing a busy schedule of nightclubs, concerts, Carnival events worldwide and charity benefits, the band has performed their inimitable brand of soca, reggae, R&B and roots for millions of people, from their very first to their most recent gig. They are a signature feature of each and every strain of West Indian Carnival all over the world. Miami, Notting Hill, Brooklyn, Atlanta and Caribana Carnival are no strangers to this legendary band.
INVAZION’s strings of Mega Hits include Trinidad, Jumpin’ in a Band (St. Lucian Riddim’), Carnival is ’bout dis and Onstange. The compilations that their tracks have appeared on collectively they have sold over 200,000 copies and are distributed in the Caribbean, North America and Europe. The band is featured on radio stations whenever they tour throughout the world. These Ambassadors to Trinidad carry the Trinidad Flag wherever they tour and leave an indelible mark in the minds of the audience. Their repertoire is always a careful and well balanced mix of current hits complemented with seed and mid career milestones. INVAZION is presently finishing a new 12 track CD due out in December 2006. They are performing steadily in the Caribbean and North America, and are planning a 2007 tour. This is a group that is definitely worth the price of admission.
